The excellent fully-enclosed TV 1 trailer is suited for any 15-meter sailplane, and is specifically fitted for the L33 Solo. It is constructed of a fiberglass shell, white at the top and custom color on the bottom half (red or blue are the most commonly chosen colors). The towing bar and axle are the well-proven German Knott GB7.1190 with Knott KF 7,5 surge brakes, found on much more expensive Cobra or Komet trailers. The trailer can be comfortably towed behind a passenger car equipped with a 50 mm (1-7/8") towing ball. The interior is fitted with a system of dollies and brackets enabling an easy two-person glider assembly and disassembly in less than twenty minutes. The trailer has two lockable doors, one of which serves as a loading ramp for the fuselage dolly. The electrical wiring connects position lights, brake lights, turning lights, and fog light, and is hooked up to the car via a marked standard European plug, easily modifiable to American plugs. The trailer has superior road handling.
