LAK-19T
The LAK-19T is a single-seat, high performance self-sustaining powered sailplane of FAI standard class designed according to JAR-22 category “U” specifications. It is a mid-wing motor-glider with T-tail and retractable main landing gear. The sailplane is equipped with retractable power-plant powered by the 19,6 kW (26.28 hp) two-stroke two-cylinder air-cooled SOLO 2350 engine.

The sailplane is made of composite materials. The wing spar is made of pulltruded carbon rods GRAPHLITE SM315 and has a double T section. The wing water ballast of 180 liters (47.55 US gal.) is filled in and poured out through holes at the bottom of the wings. The airbrakes are located on the upper wing surface only. The wing airfoil is LAP 92-130/15 at the root transiting into LAP 92-150/15 at the tip.

The cockpit is of monocoque construction. The controllable seat back and an adjustable head rest together with optimally arranged controls offer notable comfort for long flights. The one piece Plexiglass canopy hinges forward. The instrument panel lifts up together with the canopy.
The material which is used for the canopies of  LAK 19T  has a UV permeability of 99%. That means, that only 1% of UV passes the glass.

The retractable landing gear with shock absorbers has a 350x135mm tire. The mechanical main wheel brake is actuated by a handle on the stick. The rudder pedals are adjustable in flight. All controls, including the water ballast system, hook up automatically or semi-automatically. Towing hooks are mounted near the main landing gear (C.G. / winch / auto-tow hook) and/or in front of the pilot cockpit at the bulkhead (aero tow hook).

The T-tail (fixed stabilizer with elevator) of the LAK-19T provides stable and responsive pitch characteristics. The elevator hooks up automatically during assembly. The glider is fitted with a fin ballast tank of 8 ltr. (2.11 US gal.) capacity in order to adjust the optimum C.G. position.

The powerplant is operated and controlled by motor control unit ILEC MCU.
